Top Teeth Staining Foods to Watch for in December

Dec 15th, 2011

With December comes a lot of holiday cheer, and also a lot of holiday parties. Whether it’s the office Christmas party or going out with your sweetheart on New Year’s Eve, December can be really hazardous to your white, shining smile.

Here are a few foods that you’ll need to watch out for especially this month, because they are more likely to stain your teeth.
  • Wine (even white wine and champagne)
  • Hot chocolate
  • Fruit pie (especially blueberry)
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Balsamic vinegar
Try to alternate between these foods and fresh fruits and veggies, which can help prevent staining. If you do find that you are heading into 2012 with stained or discolored teeth, we can help. Call our office and schedule an appointment to discuss the various safe dental whitening procedures we have available.

Have a safe and happy December, to all our patients and friends!
