Meet the Team

Amelia Simpson

Amelia Simpson is our dental hygienist who received her associate degree in dental hygiene from the University of Louisville in 2002. She firmly believes in a total-health approach to dentistry and values the strong personal relationships she develops with her patients. Her main goal is to provide a personal, comfortable experience. Amelia is committed to continuing education and broadening her skills with new technology and research. For Amelia, the secret to happiness is spending time with her husband, two-year-old son, Cannon and daughter, Nora Kate.

Debbie Sexton

Debbie Sexton is a registered dental hygienist with 23 years of experience. She received her associate degree in dental hygiene from the University of Louisville in 1985 and then earned a bachelor degree in science from the University of Louisville in 1987. “Even after all these years in dentistry, I still love working with patients and am passionate about my chosen career,” she says. “I like to help people achieve total health through their dental visits.” When Debbie is not working, she enjoys University of Louisville football and basketball, animals, and reading.

Jennifer Tems

Jennifer Tems is our dental hygienist who graduated from the University of Louisville in May 2005 with an associate degree in dental hygiene. Jennifer joined the practice in October 2005. Using a combination of clinical skills and patient education, she is committed to helping patients reach optimal dental health. When Jennifer is not working, she and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Teresa Smith

Teresa Smith is an expanded duty dental assistant who has been working in the dental field since 1979. She attended Somerset College and the University of Louisville, and she has worked with Dr. Dick for 20 years. Teresa has two children and enjoys being with her family and friends.

Patty Puleo

Patty Puleo is our expanded duty dental assistant who has worked in dentistry for more than 25 years and still loves her job. Keeping up with continuing education and the latest technology is very important to her. In a constantly changing field, Patty has kept up to date on the latest preventative dental techniques and technologies. It's valuable information that she enjoys sharing with patients. “With understanding, compassion, trust, and service I try to provide a pleasant dental visit for our patients,” she says. “I demand the best in myself, and the patients deserve the best dental experience.” Patty is a graduate of Watterson College, is married, and has a son attending Western Kentucky University. When Patty is not working, she enjoys camping, water sports, reading, cooking, and walks on the beach.

Jill Ramsey

Jill Ramsey moved to Louisville from Lexington, Kentucky in 2000 after attending the University of Kentucky. For the last ten years, Jill has worked in the dentistry field and became an expanded duty dental assistant in 2002. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, being outdoors, and traveling.

Amy McCann

Amy McCann, our patient coordinator, obtained her degree from the University of Kentucky and has been in Dentistry for over 14 years, seven of those years with Dr. Dick. Amy is married with two daughters. When not working, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Emily Kleinholter

Emily Kleinholter grew up in Louisville, KY and graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelors of Science in Communication. She has recently joined our team as a patient coordinator. Emily has been in dentistry for 9 years. She lives with her husband Kevin and dog, Vito. When she is not working, Emily enjoys going to the lake and camping. Unless, it is football season. Then Emily is dragged into watching and attending football games all weekend.

Rebekah McIlvoy

Rebekah McIlvoy is an expanded duties dental assitant,and coronal polishing certified. She has been in the dental field for about 8 years. She enjoys working with patients and is very passionate about her work. She loves the challenge each patient brings her. When not working she enjoys to read, cook, be out doors, and spend time with friends, family, and Ollie (her dog).

Lisa Schlick

Lisa Schlick is an expanded duty dental assistant (EDDA) with nearly 30 years of experience. She was trained at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Lisa has been an assistant to Dr. Dick for 25 years. Lisa welcomes the opportunity to interact with patients and make them feel at ease during their procedures. When not working, Lisa and her husband love spending time with their two children, family and friends.

Ashlee Hollis

Ashlee Hollis is an expanded duty dental assistant (EDDA). She graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. She has always had a desire to take care of patients so she returned to school to pursue a career in the dental field. Ashlee is a personal trainer before and after her work at the dental office. She loves to motivate and educate her patients and clients in both their dental and physical health. When not working, Ashlee loves to workout and relax with friends and family.
